Storage and Spillage Guidelines for Photochemicals

Dangerous photochemicals should be stored in accordance with the storage segregation guidelines laid down by the Health & Safety Executive:

The guidance covers substances and preparations which are classified as dangerous: as defined by the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging) Regulations 2000 (CHIP 2000).

In the event of a breakage or spillage follow the procedures outlined.

This procedure should be copied and placed in a prominent position such that photo processor operator’s can become familiar with these suggested procedures.

It can also be used as part of an environmental management system.
